E-Commerce & Digital Commerce

Storefronts measured in conversion, not compliments.

Commerce is the one place where design decisions have a euro value attached within the hour. That changes how we work: every build ships with analytics, every change is measured, and we optimise against revenue per session rather than opinions.

We build headless — Shopify Hydrogen, Medusa or a custom commerce core — so merchandising, content and the storefront can move at different speeds without a replatform every three years. When Shopify's native stack is the right answer, we say so and build there instead.

The hard part is rarely the product page. It is tax and duty across borders, payment methods your customers actually trust, an ERP that expects a file drop at 3am, and a returns process that does not generate a support ticket. That plumbing is most of what we do.

Capabilities

What this practice actually covers.

01

Headless & composable storefronts

A commerce architecture where the storefront, the catalogue, the content and the checkout are separable — so you can replace one without rebuilding the rest.

  • Shopify Hydrogen, Medusa, Commerce Layer or a custom core
  • Next.js storefront with ISR, edge caching and image optimisation
  • Composable services for search, reviews, loyalty and subscriptions
  • Content and commerce merged via Sanity or Contentful
02

Checkout, payments & conversion

Checkout is where the money is won or lost. We build it as a first-class product surface and instrument every step of the funnel.

  • Stripe, Adyen and Mollie with local methods — iDEAL, Bancontact, Klarna
  • One-page and express checkout, wallets, and saved payment profiles
  • Fraud screening, 3-D Secure and chargeback workflow
  • Funnel analytics, A/B testing and abandoned-cart recovery
03

Catalogue, PIM & merchandising

Give merchandisers real control and engineering stops being the bottleneck. Product data, pricing rules and campaign setup should never require a deployment.

  • PIM integration with structured attributes and variant modelling
  • Rule-based pricing, promotions, bundles and tiered B2B pricing
  • Search and discovery with Algolia or Typesense, tuned ranking
  • Merchandising tooling: collections, ordering, badges, campaigns
04

B2B & marketplace commerce

Wholesale and marketplace models carry rules that consumer platforms never meet — quotes, credit terms, approval chains and multi-vendor settlement.

  • Company accounts, buyer roles and approval workflows
  • Quotes, contract pricing, purchase orders and credit terms
  • Multi-vendor onboarding, commission and payout automation
  • Punchout and EDI integration for enterprise procurement
05

Operations, ERP & fulfilment

The order is the beginning of the work, not the end. We connect commerce to the systems that pick, ship, invoice and refund.

  • ERP integration — SAP, Dynamics, Exact, NetSuite
  • OMS and WMS connectivity, stock sync and backorder logic
  • Carrier integration, tracking, returns portal and RMA flow
  • Tax, VAT/OSS and cross-border duty handling per market
06

Growth, SEO & performance

Traffic that does not convert is a cost. We build for technical SEO from the first route and run a continuous conversion-optimisation loop after launch.

  • Technical SEO: structured data, canonical strategy, faceted-nav rules
  • Core Web Vitals budgets enforced in CI on real device profiles
  • Server-side tagging, consent mode and clean attribution
  • Post-launch CRO programme with a measured experiment backlog

FAQ

Questions about this practice.

Ask us directly
Shopify or a custom platform?
Shopify — usually headless with Hydrogen — wins for most direct-to-consumer brands: the payment, tax and fraud surface alone is worth it. We build custom or on Medusa when the catalogue model, B2B rules or marketplace mechanics do not fit the platform.
Can you migrate without losing SEO?
Yes. Redirect mapping, structured-data parity and a crawl-diff run against staging before cutover are part of every replatform. We hold organic traffic within a few percent through the switch and publish the before-and-after.
Do you handle peak season?
We load-test to ten times expected peak, agree a freeze calendar, and staff an on-call rota for Black Friday and your own campaign dates.
Can you support our customer service team too?
That is exactly what our call centre practice exists for — trained agents on your catalogue, integrated with the same order system your storefront writes to.
